Newart is a family business that provides commercial and office furniture to Government organisations, schools, healthcare facilities and a wide range of businesses across Cairns and greater Queensland. In addition to selling furniture manufactured in Brisbane and internationally, Newart is engaged to manage project fit-out-outs and installation process. The scope of engagement with Newart has been broad ranging and deep, and has included directing and managing every facet of the business’s brand, marketing and communication’s profile. At the overarching strategy level, the brand and positioning were defined, taking into account the business’ multiple, disparate markets. A positioning line of: “Furniture, wherever you work” was developed which defined the business and allowed targeted marketing communications to be relevant and consistent. Curious has provided Newart with a 12 month marketing plan that is being rolled out across Queensland.
The beating heart of the updated Newart communications program has been the development of an Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP), integrating an eCommerce website with quoting tools, stock management and business systems. Given that the business deals with seven unique customer categories the website homepage (newart.com.au) was designed to operate as a central hub from where customers are redirected to content that is relevant to them. As well as designing the site architecture and styling, Curious updates content through the CMS, write blogs and manage tactical marketing campaigns via a series of landing pages. Regular social media content is produced for Newart that feeds directly into product pages on the website. Other digital marketing also serve as lead generators for the website, such as YouTube videos, GoogleAds and EDMs. Progressively the website will build into an online resource for organisations researching solutions to their interior fit-outs and furnishing challenges.
In addition to fulfilling the multi-disciplinary roles of graphic designer, digital content creator, social media manager, YouTube creator and communications manager for this fast growing Cairns business, Curious is responsible for building Newart’s overall brand image. This includes signage design on the showroom external façade and internal display spaces, vehicle signage, apparel and uniforms, brochure design and other print collateral.
